The discussion, as part of IR Global's Virtual Round Table series, centered on financing and structuring cross-border real estate transactions, involving IR Global members from Germany, Belgium, California, New York, and Canada.
On April 13th, 2017, Dr. István Szabados, attorney-at-law, was appointed as notary in Berlin. He thereby strengthens the notary office of our firm, which until now has been led by Dr. Peter Diedrich, notary and attorney-at-law, which has been primarily focused in recent years on the notarization of mid- and large-sized real estate transactions, development projects of domestic and international investors, and corporate-law procedures.

On 4 July 2017, the Federal Court of Justice (Bundesgerichtshof - BGH) ruled invalid the general terms and conditions (Allgemeine Geschäftsbedingungen - AGB) pre-formulated by the defendant banks in loan agreements concluded between credit institutions and entrepreneurs (Unternehmer) for processing fees (Bearbeitungsgebühren), that did not depend on the term period.
